Ingredients
  

  • Sausage
  • Flour
  • Water
  • Milk
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Make sausage in patties in large frying pan. Removesausage and keep drippings (about 3 tbsp) in hot pan overmedium heat. Sprinkle in equal amount of flour (3 tbsp) andscrape bottom of pan while stirring flour and drippings.When you see that the flour has browned a bit, splashabout ¼ cup of water to bind flour and drippings. (Mostpeople don’t do this step, but I found that it binds the flourmixture and reduces lumps.) When you see that it is bound,add milk slowly, stirring constantly.
  • As the milk warms, you will smell the gravy comingtogether. Add salt and pepper to taste. Watch for the gravyto thicken and add milk to get to the ideal consistency.
  • Prepare biscuits according to the package and bake.When ready, open biscuits, add butter (if you wish) and topwith gravy.
