Ingredients
  

CAKE

  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • 12 oz. cola, reduced by half

FROSTING

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 2 tbsp. heavy cream
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • ¹/³ cup pecans, rough chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Combine the oil, butter, egg,milk, and vanilla extract in a bowland mix to make the egg mixture.
  • Combine the cocoa powder,flour, sugar, salt, and bakingpowder in a separate bowl and mixto make the dry mixture.
  • Add half of the dry mixture to theegg mixture.
  • Add the reduced soda to theegg mixture and mix to combine.
  • Add the remaining dry mixture tothe egg mixture and mix to combine.
  • Place the batter in a greased8-in. cake pan.
  • Place an Air Flow Rack in the air fryer.
  • Place cake pan on the Rack. Pressthe Power Button and then theBaking Button (320° F/160° C for30 mins.) to begin the cooking cycle.
  • While the cake cooks, combineall the frosting ingredients andwhip until smooth.
  • Spread the frosting over thecooled cake.
  • Sprinkle the pecans over the cake.
