Course Appetizer

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz. mushrooms, cleaned and thickly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. freshly ground pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. balsamic glaze
  • 5 oz. soft goat cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup shaved Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. chives, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat an oven to 350˚F. Sauté the mushrooms, shallotsand garlic in olive oil over medium high heat until themushrooms are browned and the liquid has evaporated.
  • Add the thyme, salt, pepper and balsamic glaze and stir.In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, goat cheeseand egg together until light and fluffy. Spread the cheesemixture in the bottom of the tart shell.
  • Top with themushroom mixture. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese ontop. Bake until puffed and lightly browned, about 10 to 15minutes. Garnish with chives.
