Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp sal
  • 6 tbsp very cold butter
  • 3/4 cup whole milk

Instructions
 

  • For bestresults, chill butterin the freezerfor 10-20 minutes before beginning.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with nonstick parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Combine flour, baking powder,sugar and salt in a large bowl and mix well. Set aside
  • Remove butterfrom the refrigerator and cut it into yourflour mixture using a box graterto shred the butterinto small pieces. Thenadd to the flour mixture and stir.
  • Add milk and use a wooden spoon orspatula to stir until combined (don’t overwork the dough).
  • Transfer your biscuit dough to a well-floured surface and use your handsto gently work the dough together. If the dough istoosticky, add flour until it is manageable.
  • Once the dough is cohesive, fold in half overitself and use your handsto gently flatten layerstogether. Rotate the dough 90 degreesand fold in half again, but do not overwork the dough.
  • Use your hands(do not use a rolling pin) to flatten the dough and use a round biscuit cutter with flourto cut out the biscuits. Repeatuntil you have gotten as many biscuits as possible and place lessthan 1/2" apart on baking sheet
  • Bake on 425 degreesfor 12 minutes or until tops are beginning to just turn lightly golden brown.
  • If desired, brush with melted salted butterimmediately afterremoving from oven. Serve warm and enjoy
