Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 10-oz package frozen choppedbroccoli
  • 2 14.5-oz cans chicken broth
  • 1/2 lb processed cheese loaf, cut into1/2 inch by 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a stockpot, melt butter over mediumheat.
  • Cook onion in butter until softened.
  • Stir in broccoli and cover with chickenbroth.
  • Simmer on medium heat until broccoli istender, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Reduce heat and stir in cheese cubes untilmelted.
  • Mix in milk and garlic powder.
  • In a small bowl, stir cornstarch into wateruntil dissolved. Stir mixture into soup. Cook3-4 minutes on medium heat, stirringfrequently until thick.
