Equipment

  • 1 Gourmet oven dish with lid

Ingredients
  

  • 30 g butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 1.2 kg beef, ready to cook | diced
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 500 g onions | finely diced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp plain white flour
  • 1.2 ltr beef stock
  • 70 ml vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Heat the butter in a pan. As soon as itbegins to bubble, add a dash of oil andheat.
  • Season the beef with salt and pepperand sear it on all sides.
  • Add the onions, bay leaves, cloves andsugar and cook for a further 3 minutes.
  • Dust the beef with flour and fry for afurther 2–3 minutes.
  • Add the beef stock and vinegar, stirringconstantly until you have a smoothsauce.
  • Place the beef in the Gourmet ovendish.
  • Start the Automatic programme or preheat the oven.

Automatic programme:

  • Place the Gourmet oven dish in theoven and roast.

Manual:

  • Place the Gourmet oven dish in theoven and cook using the settingsindicated for cooking stages 1 and 2.
  • Before serving, season again with saltand pepper.
