Ingredients
  

  • 1 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp allspice
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 ¼ cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten

Instructions
 

  • Mix dry ingredients together – flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder,salt, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and allspice.
  • In a separate large bowl, combine oil, juice, pumpkin and eggs.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, blending thoroughly.
  • Pour into GREASED 9×5” loaf pan. Bake in a preheated 350-degree ovenfor 60-65 minutes. (test it around 50 minutes, first to see if it is done, andthen check every few minutes after that)
  • Cool in pan for 15 -30 minutes. Run a knife around the edge to loosen abit, and then turn it onto a plate to remove from the pan. Let it cool on arack, flat side on the rack.
  • Cool 1 hour before slicing.
