Ingredients
  

  • 8 Apples, cored & halved
  • ½  Cup sugar
  • ½ Juice of lemon
  • 1 Cinnamon stick

Instructions
 

  • Place the Inner Pot in the Power Quick Pot
  • Press the Sauté Button, scroll to the Vegetablessetting, and press the Program Dial. Pressthe Program Dial again to confirm thedefault setting and begin the cooking cycle(370° F/170° C for 10 mins.).
  • Add all the ingredients to the Inner Pot.
  • Place the Lid on the Power Quick Pot and turnthe Lid counterclockwise. The Lid will lock andthe Pressure Release Valve will close.
  • Press the Pressure Button, scroll to theVegetables setting, and press the Program Dial.Scroll to the Low setting and press the ProgramDial to begin the cooking cycle (2-min. cookingtime).
  • When the timer reaches 0, the Power Quick Potwill automatically switch to Keep Warm. Pressthe Cancel Button. Let the Power Quick Pot sit tonaturally release pressure. Then, slide the SteamRelease Switch to the Open position. When thesteam is released, remove the Lid.
  • Remove and discard the cinnamon stick. Let theapples cool slightly and then mash the warm apples. Carefully ladle the apple sauce intohalf-pint jars through the Canning Funnel. Cleanthe rims of the jars with white vinegar and sealthe jars.
  • Place a steaming rack inside the Inner Pot. Placethe jars on the steaming rack. Pour water intothe Inner Pot until the water reaches one fourthof the way up the jars.
  • Place the Lid on the Power Quick Pot and turnthe Lid counterclockwise. The Lid will lock andthe Pressure Release Valve will close.
  • Press the Canning Button and then the ProgramDial to confirm the Custom setting. Press theProgram Dial again to confirm the defaultsetting and begin the cooking cycle (1-hr.cooking time).
  • When the timer reaches 0, the Power Quick Potwill automatically switch to Keep Warm. Pressthe Cancel Button. Let the Power Quick Pot sit tonaturally release pressure. Then, slide the SteamRelease Switch to the Open position. When thesteam is released, remove the Lid.
  • Use the Jar Lifter to carefully remove the jarsfrom the Inner Pot.

Notes

At the end of the cooking cycle, the pressure must be released before you can open the Power Quick Pot. Before opening the Unit, go to the Releasing Pressure section in the Owner’s Manual of the Power Quick Pot
and read the instructions for releasing the pressure.
