Course fries



  • 3 Large Russet Potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • Vegetable Oil, for deep frying


  • 1 Cup Water
  • 3/4 Cup Flour
  • 1 Tsp Paprika
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Cayenne
  • 1/2 Tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper


  • Wash and spiralize potatoes. Add salt and warmwater to the bowl until fries are covered. Let sit for30 – 60 minutes.

For the Batter:

  • Add all ingredients in a large bowland mix to combine
  • Add about 3 inches of oil to a large heavy bottomedpot and preheat to 350°F over medium heat.
  • Transfer Fries to batter and coat evenly, cuttingany extra long pieces.
  • Fry in batches 3-5 minutes per batch. Shake offexcess batter before frying.
  • Let cool on tray with cooling rack or paper towelsbefore serving.
